Gang I have an '82 Hunter 27 with the original CDI 4/6 Flexibile Furler Continuous Line model. It has finally broken and the parts are not available. CDI does have a refit kit though, and I bought it and started the job today. But, as is typical, my start was short-lived. I cannot figure out how to remove the old furling drum from the stay. There are some screws and other things, but I can't get to the turnbuckle to grab it so that I can unscrew the t-bolt at the bottom and get everything off there! Has anyone had to do this lately that can offer advice? Thanks, Ron rvanderveer@bellsouth.net

No advice - just moral support

http://www.pompanette.com/hood is the web site for Hood furlers. They offer tech tips online and offer to answer questions by email at: HoodYachtSystems@Pompanette.com We had the upgrade kit installed a couple of years ago by Racine Riverside Marine in Racine, WI. Works great and never slips like the old CL unit did. They are Hunter dealers and their web site is at: http://www.yachtworld.com/racineriverside/

Got it somehow...

Thanks Rip, I did get it off there somehow. I'm not sure which little corroded screws were holding up the works, but I just started spraying and unscrewing everything I could find and it finally just fell off into my hands! The new one is on there and went on easily. Take care, Ron
