Hello all, I am in the process of fixing up an 87 26.5 which has had it's share of leaks. All carpet is going but not sure what I am going to replace it with. Some of my thoughts for materials are (1) gel-coat (2) vinyl (3) wood laminate (strips) (4) laminate sheet like counter top material. Due to it's age and size I do not want to spend a great deal of money but do want it to last and be appealing.
Obviously I am going to fix the leaks first but we all know that at some point it will leak again and I don't want to have to worry about mold in the future.

A few months ago, I put self adhesive backed carpet squares on our cabin floor. It cost me less than $100 to do all except the 1/4 and v-berth area. Have a few squares left over in case of stains, etc. It is made by Shaw. Home Depot had the best price. I think it comes in 4 colors, I used ocean blue. Easy to work with, did entire floor in 1 day.
