My bilge hoses are all that ribbed stuff. Not only does it hold water but it is almost impossible to clean. I assume all you Cherubini owners have the same stuff. Have any of you replaced it with regular hose? I found one in the archives(Related Link). Is this a good idea? Somewhat related is the manual bilge hose. I took that panel off the rear of the quarterberth to gain access under the winch for some wiring work. There is an extra four feet of that hose rolled up back there. Is there a reason for this? Or is this because that was how much hose there was before the next flat connector spot? Thanx for your insight.

Mine Cracked

Yup, replacing with smooth hose is somewhere on my list after....... Mine cracked right at the base; probably from lifting it and cleaning the screen, so now it sucks air instead of water - cutting it above the crack is now at the top of my list! And no, Ed, I don't have all that extra hose - just the requisite short loop.
