No Need for New Forum
I'm of the opinion that there isn't a need for a new forum - there's plenty of opportunity for boating related discussions in the forums currently presented. In fact, it may only be me, but I noticed a sort of subtle shift in the "tone" of this series of forums about the same time that the "Politics, Religion and other Angst" forum became available. I'm sure it's only a coincidence, or my perception, but for some reason, (and I even suspected it was the winter season...) the tone in many of the posts has moved away from overwhelmingly helpful and polite to a more sarcastic and sharp attitude. I've spent exactly zero time in the PR&A forum because there are plenty of other places on the web that I can get more than my fill of that. My uneducated opinion is that a lot of people carry over the tone from that forum into these boating related forums - figuring that "it was OK over there, it must be OK over here". Again, I'm infrering the tone "over there", but I bet I'm right.Anyway, Keep up the good work Phil! Words of Wisdom: If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It.Tim BroganApril IV C350 #68Seattle
