The archives say to remove the water heater thru the drawer opening ('90 mk II), but as soon as you move the heater to port, you start running out of space as the floor elevates due to the hull curvature and the fuel send and return lines are in the way. Can those lines be removed from the tank without requiring a fuel prime? I've wiggled this thing every way but loose. Do you need to gain space by busting out the plywood shelf that the water heater sits on? input would be much appriciated...thanks

need to remove the frame also

At least that is what you need to do on the MK I. You need to drill out the teak plugs the cover the screws that hold the drawer frame on, then unscrew the screws holding the frame on. Then you may also need to remove the sink drains to get enought room. don't destroy the platform. I just changed out my 89 H2O heater two weeks ago.

Newly acquired '93 Cat 30 --- need help finding and troubleshooting the water heater.......I'm gathering it is buried somewhere under the sinks. Is there some trick besides turning on the breaker to make hot water??
