Caleb, hate to tell you, but i never used the mmo on this motor. After getting off the phone i decided to try the scrrewdriver on the flywheel teeth. It moved pretty easy. then the more i cranked it by hand the easier it would crank. I did this because it was the easiest thing to do. Now maybe i will pull te injectors and give it its medicine. So i think it never was froze up. just alittle sticky from sitting. thanks alll, Patrick

By turning a stuck motor

with a screw driver on the flywheel IS enought to break a ring. I truely hope you didn't do that. You will know once you do a compression test. Patience is a virtue.

Have you dicsconnected the xmsn yet? It'll bind a motor up and make for hard turning by hand.

ok, i have figured out most of the abreviations used in texting/email and put'r jargone, but XMSN ? I am not dealing with sattelite tv here. not xm radio, or msn. I don't think i broke anything. It turned faily easy. Did'nt have to put any "machismo" into the screwdriver or nothing. But alas, imaterial at this time.....got suspended at work today.... I am an RN in ICU. been doing it for over 13 years now. About a month ago i had an elderly women who was a bit confused. Pulled her blood pressure cuff off, pulled out her urinary catheter, tried to get out of bed (to go home) etc , etc. It is commonplace in the hospital. Well, she took off her oxygen mask and her blood oxygen dropped very rapidly to less than what is required for life. I replaced it a number of times, and told her that i would have to tie her hands if she cintinued to remove her mask. She did, and i did. The daughter came in and i informed her what i had done. She wrote a letter to the hospital complainning about her mom being tied up, allbut for a couple of hours until she sttled down with the daughter there. Well, they checked the records and i did'nt call an MD to get an order to restain, and did'nt put it in my notes. And now i am suspended until further notice. I gave that hospital over 13 years, saved many lives and took care of countless loved ones, and now i am done. Patrick

Patrick, Was the ICU short staffed? My son has been an ICU nurse for nearly 20 years

and tells me that they always call for assistance with a difficult patient. Sorry about the complications. You didn't lose her did you?

not sure the outcome

hi, not sure the outcome of the long term for the patient, but i assure you she was alive and well when i went home that night. I am just trying to finish up some things (repair of a canoe), we ripped out the transom(flatt back canoe) and built a new one. Now just glassing in the keel for my buddy who got creamed on us19 on his mc a couple of weeks ago. and leave my sons with not too much.I am done. patrick

Time to do a "leak Down Test"

A Leak down test .... inputting high pressure air to each cylinder will tell you whats the condition of the engine. Pressurize (while the piston is at BDC) will tell you much more than a compression test.

Air coming out the breather pipe... worn or broken rings,
out the exhuast ... exhaust valves or seats
out the air intake .. intake valves or seats

Use the engine for a time before you do this as it will take some time for the engine to 're-polish' itself, etc.
