Ok, last time I was finalizing, this time it's

final. I've made my final decison on how I'm ordering my 320 (see "Finalizing my options list...). I'm going with the standard roached main instead of furling. I don't want to lose the 60 sf of sail and the furled sail doesn't have the battens to help hold it's shape. Besides, bigger boats don't have furling mains and I may as well get used to it. Further, during the test sail, the dealer had to go forward to remove a bubble in the sail before he could furl it so what's the sense of spending 2 grand on the furling main if ya have to go forward anyway.I will add the solid boom vang (std with furling main). The electric windlass is definitely out, I can use one of the winches if necessary. So, now I'm ready to place my order. Just have to get my upper limit to coincide with the dealer's lowest. Thanks for all the great comments and advice, see ya'll on the water soon!

Good going

You decide against the dodger Bill? No matter what you chose or deleted, you will love her and can finish adding the touches later (that's the fun part). As we are only a day sail from one another, maybe we will run into (not literally, I hope) one another on the water. Good luck Doug

One Last Response

This is the late, last(maybe) reply to your 320 quest- definitely a dodger but like someone else said you may want to wait and get a custom from someone who does dodgers- windlass - as an alternative I have a manual windlass on my 33.5 and its really great- (some aerobic exercise without overdoing it)- anchors -don't skimp get the biggest practical for your boat- when your snugged down in a 40kt blow you'll be glad you did. Forget the head- as for spinnaker you may want them to at least install a haliyard and forget the winches. This way you could add an aymmetrical spinnaker which does need separate winches. In any case- good luck and fair winds-
