Funny you should ask.

Check the responses to my related question on the Cherubini forum. Curious I asked the same Q within hours of yours... making me think it must be a FAQ.

Cherubini Hunter

Cherubini Hunters are simply sailboats designed and engineered by the late John Cherubini I noted Marine Engineer/Designer/Architect during the seventies and eighties. Their destinctive traits are usually classic lines, hulls that curve to a classic small transom, traditional looking cabins and traditional windows. I just restored a 1976 25 Cherubini. This boat is coming back into style as designers like Hinckley attempt to replicate the look of olders yachts such as Herreshoff and Alden. My boat looks a little like a Alerion Express 28, a boat you can buy brand new now that is beautiful and looks more like the yachts of yesteryear.

Great boats

The Cherubini Hunters are, indeed, classic in their looks and lines, but they are also distinguished by their weight and stability as reflected in capsize screen, sail area to displacement, etc. I love my 1981 27 footer.
