My oil pressure warning light started "chirpping" about a month ago after an hour or so of use, now, after coming to operating temp., the oil warning light/buzzer goes off full blast. I have about 50 - 60 hours on this oil change, and there is plenty of oil. Any way to check for a faulty sensor? Anything to look for? I live in the Caribbean and use 40w oil year round. Engine runs fin, and no smoke, etc. Thanks, Steve

Mine too, also standing by for help.

P.S. I'm so sick of it I just ordered a new sender. It'll be here tomorrow. I'll know if that was the problem tomorrow afternoon.

I added guages

I added oil and water guages to my 3HM35F. Kept the warning lights, so I have both.

Suspect Sender

The description of chirping then going off full time sounds like the same problem I had several years ago and replacing the sender cured the problem. Remove the oil fill cap with the engine running and see if you get a face full of oil. If you do then it's the sender. On the other hand, if the rocker arms are dry then it's not. :)
