My oil pressure warning light started "chirpping" about a month ago after an hour or so of use, now, after coming to operating temp., the oil warning light/buzzer goes off full blast. I have about 50 - 60 hours on this oil change, and there is plenty of oil. Any way to check for a faulty sensor? Anything to look for? I live in the Caribbean and use 40w oil year round. Engine runs fin, and no smoke, etc. Thanks, Steve

P.S. I'm so sick of it I just ordered a new sender. It'll be here tomorrow. I'll know if that was the problem tomorrow afternoon.

I added guages
I added oil and water guages to my 3HM35F. Kept the warning lights, so I have both.

Suspect Sender
The description of chirping then going off full time sounds like the same problem I had several years ago and replacing the sender cured the problem. Remove the oil fill cap with the engine running and see if you get a face full of oil. If you do then it's the sender. On the other hand, if the rocker arms are dry then it's not.
