Just stopped by the boat yesterday to run engine and spin the prop and give the 20 minute panda its 20 minutes of monthly exercise. Before starting engine did the usual inspection checking under engine for any oil leaks or raw water. Looked clean and dry except for the sprinkling of rust from yanmar motor mounts. Need to hit them again I guess. When looking back farther behind engine in the little pan area under packing gland and shaft coupling I notice a very small amount of what looked like old oil from about 5 years ago when a container stored on shelf above and next to generator had sprung a leak. Any fluid that is spilled in this area passes thru this area on it way to bilge. So while 20 minute panda was running. Got the purple power that I keep on reserve out and poured about a quart up in the area next to generator. After about 5 minutes the purple power had made its way to the small amount of oil and it began to immediately disperse. Mysteriously some how this old oil was hiding away somewhere and finally decided to make it presents know after 5 years. Will be flushing with fresh water then a half and half solution of purple power this week end to make sure bilge gets completely flush out.

What I guess I am saying here is..... Be prepared to repeat this process from time to time after even a few years of no signs of the issue.

Thanks. Ill keep an eye on it. Before sailing this weekend I poured a bit more in and when I returned the stuff in the bilge was pretty clean.
