This season I noticed a small amount of oil in the antifreeze in the heat exchanger on my Yanmar JH Diesel engine.

look at your oil cooler...
oil in the antifreeze is usually due to old faulty cooler seals, or a cracked oil cooler... second guess would be a head gasket.
the oil pressure being higher than the water pressure, if there is a breech between the two systems, the oil will be pushed into the water....

On automobiles, the opposite is true when the engine is off after running. Is there signs of foam on the oil dipstick?
Thanks for the input,no foam or milkiness on the dipstick,engine's only done 1100 hrs so will look at the cooler first.
