Oil for MD2B

Hi All,

Happy Holidays.
I have a Volvo MD2B which is from 1975.
I have a manual.

The Manual says.
Above 20C - SAE20
Below 20C - SAE10W W for Winter
20C is 68F.


What do you recommend putting here ?
I had one mechanic put SAE30.
The other one put 5-40W.

Engine smokes slight white.

The weight is totally dependent on your location and operating temps.. Choose your brand from any of the major producers just make sure that the the rating is ...Ck, CJ, CI, or CH I would expect that the CH rating will soon be classified as obsolete..
