I have a 3YM30 Yanmar engine in my 85 Hunter 31. It is a tight fit and the oil filter is difficult to change. Does anyone have any experience with any kit or system to relocate the oil filter a foot or so away to a more accessible location? much thanks, John Blakely

Just when I thought there might be....

A chink in the armor! Foiled again! You hid that spinnaker pole on purpose Fred :) Well my next project is a new radar. Just got the new 2k scanner and an RL70C+. Gonna go HSB2 with the RC530+ I already have and put it down in the nav station. Should be pretty kewl having radar/chart overlay or filling out the ships log without having to relay info from up topside. Will let ya know if I get hung up with the electrical. Is yours an asym or full kite? Can just you and your wife fly it ok? Cheers Rick

Rick, it's a Sobstad tri-radial in a sock.

In my younger days I could fly it alone. But now I like help. And that sock makes all the difference. And neat about your new radar stuff. I'm thinking of a chart plotter at the top of the NavPod. That running below for a computer check is getting old. But maybe a network,,,,,

Thanks Fred

I have been thinking about an asym which I think my trusty first mate and I could fly. I like the whisker pole instead of a spin because it keeps my phrf in check for the wednesday night "beercan races" in the san diego bay. A kite would be nice for the downhill run from Avalon though.... So many things to ponder. Obviously I need to solve putting a couple more zeros on the end of the ol paycheck ;) I will tell ya how my "network" comes out.
