Must do three things to change 2GM20F oil
Rudy:I have a 87H285 with 18 hp Yanmar 2GM20F, which sounds like the same engine as you have.1) The first rule for changing oil is to make sure it's HOT. Syrupy oil takes a LONG time to pump or vacuum out.2) I use a vacuum can. The tube goes down the oilstick hole, you clamp the tube while pumping to build a vacuum, release the clamp, and then adjust the tube up or down a little so that it freely sucks the oil up (too far down and the tube will either be flat against the bottom of the oil pan, or bend & curl back up).3) For the oil filter, because I have restricted access to it and cannot use a conventional filter wrench, I use what looks like a big socket head that fits onto a ratchet wrench. I don't know the exact size, but it's a metric dimension, not English.BTW, I'm planning a cruise to Key West in January (from Ft.Lauderdale), and was planning on a stop in Islamorada. Any suggestions for marinas or anchorages or things to do there?Eric Lorguss/v Explorer
