I'm looking for recommendations for a (hopefully) cheap dipstick oil change pump that can go down the oil fill hole on the Kanzaki gear box on my '07 H38 with 3JH4E.

anyone actually using one?

I use a Moeller Fluid Extractor for both the oil and the transmission. Works well and comes with different sized hoses.

Can use it on the oil change, transmission oil change, my roadster transmission and differential, all sorts of good uses.

On my 2005 H38 with Yanmar 3JH4E with Kanzaki gearbox there is an oil change nut on the port side of the gearbox. According to the manual there should be a copper washer in front of the nut. I never found it, maybe the PO lost it. I ordered it from Yanmar and received a copper washer of the wrong dimensions. I took things in my own hands and bought a piece of nitril rubber and cut a washer of the correct dimensions.
Conclusion: no need to suc the oil out of the Kazaki KM35P gearbox, just unscrew the nut, there is only 500cc of oil in the gearbox anyway.

I was on my boat early this morning and remembered you asked for suggestions. They are all of the same design, but more importantly, they work.
I’ve had mine for 21 years and it continues on and on. Mine is aTempo Oil Boy. Like all the others it has multiple connections for different size tubes.
You won’t regret having one.
