I figured out a way to get the house off finally. We put it on wheels and will roll it forward on the temporary decking so a big forklift can slide it's forks under straps and lift it off and out.

Some new mizzen deck beams.



and side deck beams. I didn't like the fit of some previous ones and redid them.



Still have some locust left.



Waiting to be cut on the new to me gear.



That's a very nice little saw. The table tilts both ways which helps with all of the angles and notches.

It's all Black Locust. That's what I'm using for all of the framing in the boat. Might as well do it right the first time and never worry about them rotting again.

Nice looking sticks. About all they use it for out here is fence posts.

They're missing out. There's no finer wood for boat building in North America. I got this custom milled for $4.00 per board foot too. It's heavy but pretty amazing stuff.

That price isn't too bad. fence posts rough cut tapered 3x6 to 6x6, 7 feet long are 10 dollars and you might get ten feet of 3x3 out of one.

I forgot the pic of us test fitting the first rib laminate piece. It's 1/4" thick Locust.

I haven't tried steam bending locust but have heard that it bends well.

WOW is all I can say again!! Looking great, Thanks for the updates and keep them comming.
I imagine you will be totally sealing and painting the entire inside too? when the time comes?
Do you think you will be in the water in the spring?

Ross is right, not with this boat, unless I win the Lotto. I could get her done by Summer if I had all of the materials. Unfortunately, ya have the time or the money but never both at once....
