Catalina 380 Huntington
Well, we want to thank all of you for your advice. We kept looking and have just found and bought a pre loved 2000 Catalina 380. She is in great condition. She was close to home up here in New York. Come on spring!

Congrats

Congratulations May you have many happy days aboard. Whether sailing or fixing, a sailboat is a thing to be lovingly cared for, and sailed at every opportunity.

That is great Gene!

This past summer I kept a 19' Lightning (#10416 I think) moored in Lloyd Harbor and we sailed past Centerport Harbor several times. Maybe I will see you out there next summer on your new C 380. Do you have a 'cocktail mooring' in Lloyd Harbor that you can use? I notice so many 'extra' moorings in Lloyd Harbor that seem to only get used on weekends by folks just wanting to enjoy the scenery. At first I thought it strange but now I understand that some Yacht Clubs maintain moorings there for their members to use and I suspect a number of folks who moor in Huntington Harbor prefer the privacy, space and views to that cluttered mooring area. That is a great part of the Sound to sail in with striking distance to Connecticut but I bet you knew all of this. Enjoy.

Congratulations Gene

And the batteries are above water this time. Right Gene? Good luck with your new toy. Regards

Great boat

That was my first choice but alas I ended up with a older great boat because of finances. I already know you will enjoy. PS: you will also find that marina operaters think you are redicously rich so beware of their scams to "help you". It will be different.
