Making it a hotlink is easy on here. We really should look into posting links on here somewhere to things like Mainesail's site etc.
Hot links are very helpful, you're right.
Links to Maine Sail's website are hardly necessary. Just go to Forums, Expert, Musing with Maine Sail. Every time one of his posts appears, the links are in his signature.
On another website that I lurk around on, someone made a sticky of "Helpful Sailing and Boat Sites." It's kind of a waste, since everyone's favorites are different, many are duplicates, and for those of us who invest time in helping others and learning by participating in these forums, we all have our own "favorites."
The other thing I see repeatedly is "How come they don't separate these things into categories, like, engine, electrical, etc." I much prefer one place for everything, 'cuz very, very often a great Q&A comes up that I can learn a lot from. And where do you put alternator questions: engine or electrical? Some people like Table of Contents, others like Indexes. Both are fine, but for daily Q&As this forum is simply great. And the search feature is very good. And it has one of the very best "How to ask a question" explanations I have ever read.
Soapbox over, don't know what got me started this morning on this, but hot links make sense and other links are pretty much right there for all of us.
