Offer on 1993 30T/Legacy Designation

I've made an offer on a 1993 Hunter 30T in great condition, which has been accepted. I'm also a Catalina 27 owner (which I'm looking to sell; although I love to collect sailboats, I can't really justify owning both of these boats, and the family wants a bigger boat). Anyway, I look forward to participating in these forums and partaking of the collective Hunter owner wisdom.

One quick question: the 30T has a decal stating "Legend" on the port side. From my research, I understand that the model name is a 30T, not a "Legend"... does anyone have any thoughts on this issue?

Yes it is the Hunter Legend series. The 30T is just the model. Legends can be many different sizes but include a certain range of years. I use to own a 30T and loved the boat. I made many mods. Enjoy.

Hi,
We own a Hunter Legend 30T here in the UK. My understanding is Hunter marine sold its models under the name 'Legend' in the UK to differentiate from A company of the same name here in the UK (British Hunters) Perhaps your boat originated from the UK? The 30T's are great boats...enjoy! Shaun.

I have seen many older Hunters with Legend name on the side and as said back than they were called Legend .
