Last year, I bought a can of something that looked like paste wax from which you removed the lid and placed it in an area susceptible to odors. Over time, it absorbs odors out of the surrounding air. At some point, it becomes totally saturated and you simply throw it out and put in a new can. It worked! Problem is, we did not think to note the product name or manufacturer before we tossed it and no one can remember where we bought it. Do you know of this product and can you help me identify it?

There are several brands of 'em

Home Depot has 'em...I've also seen 'em at Walmart and even the grocery store. But wouldn't it be easier to just get rid of the source(s) of the odor(s)?

Simple solutions

Two things I've tried that work well are an open box of baking soda or an open can of ground coffee. The latter adds a nice smell to your boat, if you like coffee. However, these are interim measures. It's best as Peggie says to find and fix the odor. Mike
