I'm trying to fix the nav lights on a 1985 O'day192. The bow light (bi-color) is an old Lucas Marine model which Rudy (D&R) is no longer made. When I took the lens out and removed the old bulb there was a copper or brass adapter which allowed the bulb to fit the fixture's socket. I lost the adapter and will now have to replace the fixture if I can't find, or make, another adapter. West Marine actually had the replacement bulb but I lost the adapter. Does anyone have an old fixture which they've replaced for sale? Or where can I buy an adapter? Any other suggestions? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Bulb adapter

Tim, Would it be possible to remove the adapter from the anchor light on top of the mast if it's the same type bulb? I'm guessing it's a 15 watt bulb. I haven't used my anchor light on my mast in years, and I probably used it once that I can remember. I do a lot of overnight anchoring in the summer, and in fact, my mast light and steaming light haven't worked in years. If you can do this, you may be able to Mickey Mouse something for your anchor light. At any rate, the anchor light is nowhere near as important as your running lights, although for the size of our boats, we could get by with a flashlight shining on the sail. In my state, I think that it's permissible. Just a thought. Joe

Tried That

The mast running light is the same bulb but a different fixture which has no spacer.
