Oday Widgeon has dry rot

I have a 14' Widgeon that has been sitting uncovered for years. The stern is seriously deteriorating and the finish is dull and mottled. How do I figure out if it's worth repairing? The sails have been in a garage and look to be in good shape but may be fragile from the heat.

if it is 14' it is a javelin, not a widgeon, since they are only 12'. if the wood can be reached, no inner hull liner, take out the old and trace it onto new exterior plywood and cut out new parts. don't use pressure treated wood because fiberglass and glue does not like the liquid used to PT. if the fiberglass hull is in good condition. A good wash and bleach will clean up the hull, and polyglo will make it shine. give it a try...
