Hey everyone new to the forums.
Recently my father gave me his 12ft Oday widgeon that he hasn’t had in the water in 15-20 years. After a good cleaning it looks like it’s in good shape.
The only issue I’m running into is the rope to the center board won’t really budge while the board itself moves freely. I’m assuming the cap over the centerboard topside the boat doesn’t come off because it seems to be on there good.
My question is where does the rope attach to the centerboard? I’m assuming it’s opposite side of the bolt holding the entire centerboard in place correct?
Would I need to undo the bolt and remove the whole centerboard to fix this issue or is it possible to just drop the board down and fix it while it’s hanging.
Thanks in advance.
