O'Day Catamaran ??????

Has anyone ever heard of O'Day Building a catamaran back in the 70's and if so what was the name of the model. I have a 11ft or 12ft catamaran that say's O'Day on it. It has a wooden mast and boom the O'Day symbol on the sail. just trying to find info on this old sailboat.

Would Not Doubt It

A rare model indeed! I never heard of another one, but O'Day dabled in all types and sizes of boats. They would also license other manufacturers to make their boats and slap an O'Day sticker on the transom. The wooden spars are a surprise to me though. Would have thought them to be aluminum. I wonder if there original? Small cats usually sail like box's, unless the hulls are skinny, as in the Hobie 14. Curious, does it have a trampoline or is their a molded hull to sit in?Don

Maybe imported?

I'm not aware of any catamaran built by (or for) O'DAY, however, after he sold the O'DAY Corporation to Bangor Punta, George O'Day went back to importing boats (mostly from England) that he sold through his new company, GEMICO. It is possible that Gemico imported a small catamaran and sold it. Or maybe what you have is a small catamaran that needed a sail and the owner happened to get a good deal on a surplus O'DAY sail, and some label decals. What is the "O'DAY logo" on the sail?
