My traveler is becoming a bear to adjust & I fear the bearings are shot. I haven’t tried to disassemble but have sprayed with water several times and have lubed it previously. Does anybody know who originally manufactured it or has successfully addressed the issue??

thanks,
Lou

The traveller was made by Goiot. I think the easiest solution would be to get new wheels. Rigrite list some but you'd need to measure yours to be sure they are the same. D & R Marine might have them or you could get a local machineshop to make some from delrin.

May not apply in your case but sometimes using a smaller gauge control line helps. Many people automatically choose the maximum size line that the pulleys will accept and this often results in excess friction.
