I'm looking at purchasing a 1984 O'day 34. Are there any common problems that I should look for with this boat. I've read universal diesels can be problematic. This there anything there I can look for. What are the general sailing characteristics. Thanks for any help.

Mast Thruming

My 1985 O'Day 34 had mast thruming during moderate breezes that I was unable to tune out. I don't know how pervasive this was throughout the fleet.
