I need help with an on going hull problem on a 1979 keel centerboard model Oday 30. There appears to be a weakness at the aft end of the keel where it attaches to the hull. The boat has had problems when hauled on a marine railway, where the keel carries the weight of the boat. I have found old fiberglass damage/delamination aft of the keel when hauled. After launching leaks have developed from fiberglass cracking in the repaired areas.
I have attached photos of the most recent problem found. Have any other owners experienced this problem?
The next time I haul the boat it will be with a lift. When the boat is setup, the yard will bear up to 80% of the weight on the jack stands to relieve any compression around the keel.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
