what is it about the construction of a 30 foot model that makes the displacement take such a jump to over 10,000? thanx,gene

O'Day 302

My 302 has a displacement of 7,200 pounds. This is on the light side for a 30 footer. It is a great coastal cruiser. I sailed her 194 miles on my first voyage.

okay so I ask again. how is the construction different on a 30 that makes it displace more than a 302? thanx,gene
