I just became the owner of a beautiful 28' O Day however never sailed a day in my life. Any pointers??? I dont want to be "that guy" hitting everyone elses boats in the Marina.

Congrats! I would recommend sailing with a friend your first time or two out. The 28 is a great sailing boat and pretty forgiving. Do you have a wheel or tiller?
Congrats!!! I bought one last fall , an 83 model with wheel steering and the Universal diesel. We cleaned her up a bit and are relearning what little we knew about sailing 20 plus years ago. Post some pictures of her when you can and take a look at Tom Potters boat. His pictures can be found here if you look hard. What part of the world are you in???
