O'Day 28 water pump

First time to post. Just purchased and there is no running water. There is Plenty of water available in the tank, just isn't coming through. When I flip the switch for the Water Pump, i heard a motor sound. No idea what where to go from here.
Suggestions?

See if the hoses from the tank are connected to the pump. Sometimes people take them off to winterized the boat. See if there is a shut off valve between the tank and the pump.

There may be a screen type filter just before the pump that's worth checking. Also, if the water heater was emptied for winterizing, then the pump may just be running to refill it, before it can have enough capacity to pump out to the faucets.

I had the same issue on my 1985 28',,,
I traced the problem the the screen filter on the faucet!!!
easy fix,,

Last thing to check; an air leak at a connection will have the same symptoms.

Thanks for all your posts...I did perform the checks that you've suggested but w/o progress. I've decided to buy a new 3gpm water pump. Haven't installed it yet but will in short time. Hopefully, that will provide water flow to the two sinks.
