Oday 28' Prop Shaft

Has anyone purchased a prop shaft for a 1983 Oday 28' - do you have the specs so I can order one? It has been removed from a boat I have purchased and I need the specs so I can order one. Any good sources for prop shafts and any advice or bad experiences?

I replaced mine last year. I thought I was going to be able to help you, but I checked my receipt and it did not have the length. I can tell you the replacement was stainless and cost me $362. When you do find the length and order the shaft I would order a coupling too and have them fit the coupler to the shaft for you. Also since the shaft is already out I would go ahead and replace the cutless bearing and would take a good look at the shaft log hose and replace it as well if it needs it. Already having the shaft out makes these jobs much easier.
