Does anyone know of an available nearly new main for an Oday 28, or have any suggestions of how to get one made in a timely manner? Most I have seen would take 6-7 weeks.

You could try Bacon Sails - Sail search page. They have a lot of used sails in varying conditions. From a quick search it looks like there are several variants of O’Day 28’s with slightly different measurements, and they have a like-new main for at least one.
