I just bought an Oday 272 and was curious about the outhaul. It seems to have an internal system and the line is pretty long. Does anyone know how to run it step by step from the clew?
I have the same system on my 240 and I am having problems with it. When I tighten it it with the line extending from the boom, it hardly flattens the main. Any one have any ideas or suggestions.

see my reply on the 240 outhaul...It is the same...and basically worthless and I think the reason is the small pully/block at the end of the boom...too many turns and not enough big blocks to transfer the pulling load to the end of the sail..........Patrick
