Has anyone removed the keel of a 272? I'd be grateful for a full account -- especially regarding the epoxy glue that the owner's manual refers to. For instance, when you have removed the nuts from the bolts does the epoxy adhere so strongly it would lift the keel as you raise the boat? Is there enough adhesion anyway to buckle the keelson or damage the fiberglass as the epoxy bond is shattered? How much of the stainless steel bolt is exposed to water infiltration anmyway 1/8 inch? 1/16 inch? less? more?
