Oday 26 house battery location

I'd like to build a plywood battery box for my house battery. The PO had it under the port quarter birth in a box without a cover not secured. I'm concerned in a knock down that battery--which is really heavy--could push the cushion out of the way and end up in the cabin. I'd like to fiberglass a plywood mount with a strap in that location but I'm concerned the hull might be too weak to take that kind of weight if it gets rough. Are there any examples of oday 26 house battery mounts out there?

The cranking battery has an oday style mount in the engine compartment on the starboard side.

Thanks

I had a dual system on my 25...put them in a low-walled tray made of 2x4s, separated by a 2x4, across the keel. I put the batteries in plastic battery boxes, lids on, then had quick release buckles and straps over the tops. Worked well, weight was low, but it was a PITA to get the port side one out!

Thanks. The 26 has access from under the port quarter birth. There's no bulkhead close to that spot so I'm concerned about hull strength. I guess a wooden tray like you made, made of heavy ply and a few layers of glass will spread any load out. That's one heavy battery.
