Wow. People do some weird stuff. The 25 is a good design for serious sailing. Each to his or her own, but these modifications look like a freak show mess! YES YOU NEED A CENTER BOARD! !!!

O'Day Dave: if you are asking about the electrical panel, its in the original location. So far I am happy with the changes and look forward to splashdown on Friday.

I m jealous that you have been able to cross the big pond already this year! I plan on coming over for summer fest in Milwaukee next year if the weather cooperates.

Hopefully you were able to get your boat in the water yesterday. There are still a couple of good months of sailing left and the water has finally warmed up so you don't have to layer-up on the water.

If you come across next year for Summerfest, e-mail me in advance. I would enjoy seeing your boat and we can compare notes on the 25. If you are planning on staying at McKinley on the night of the 3rd of July, get your reservations well in advance (early January) since that is their most popular night due to the fireworks. There are other slips available including some right next to the festival grounds but I suspect those are pretty popular as well, especially during Summerfest.

I'm already looking forward to spending more time on the Michigan side next year. The connected lakes are a nice option we don't have on the Wisconsin side. I highly recommend sailing on Green Bay if you get a chance. It's prime cruising area if you're on the Wisconsin side. The harbor hopping is good as well on this side of the lake. Regardless of which side of the lake you're on, I haven't found a harbor that I don't like, but there aren't many anchorages available before Door County.

Anyhow, enjoy the rest of the sailing season.

We had some nice winds here on Saturday so I decided to have the maiden voyage on a local lake!

Everything went as planed and the boat sailed nicely. We were having so much fun that we lost track of time and had to retrieve the boat and lower the mast in the dark.

Thanks again to all that helped me get "Another Bad Idea" into the water where it belongs.
