This question is applicalbe to anyone with an inboard. I have an Oday 25 with a rebuilt OMC sail drive. I have discovered a small leak at the base of my engine. Yesterday the ring around the base of the engine was full and there was about two inches in the bottom bellow that where the water spilled over. I sucked and sponged it out, and today it was back. I am not sure yet if it is coming through at the gasket/seal or not. I do know that a very small leak is coming through above the gasket, in the area of the gear shift mechanism. (sorry I can't be more specific, I was sailing all day and my mind is mushy.) I dabbed some silicone on that spot (it is very small) and will check it tomorrow. I am planning to pull the boat this fall and do some major work, so I am wondering if caulk of some sort would be advisable for the next few months to get me through the sailing season. If so, does anyone have a suggestion about what type of caulk, where, etc. Thanks for any and all thoughts.Alan
