I had to stop everything and remove the rotted core from my transom. Once the engine was set in place and sat for a day, the bracket base sank into the transom, making an indent that was forming cracks. I thought it was going to last the summer but not. Brought the boat fall on the hard. One day of gathering up materials and tools, one day to remove the core, two days of glassing. Tomorrow I should have the glass ground and sanded, and bracket mounted. Next day, mount the engine and clean the boat. A dirty job that had to be done.
