question for the board. I notced that my masthead has a stainless steel loop pointing forward about 2 inches perpendicular to the mast. what would this be for, never seen it on any of the other boats Ive had and wasnt on my Oday28

spin halyard

That's a bail where you hang a block for your spinnaker halyard.

never had a spinnaker before. got one with boat guess i need to locate a block. thanks again.
