Oday 25 Mast Wiring W/ Interanal Halyards

Hellow!I don't know whether or not the Oday 25 was ever offered with internal halyards, but I am making the conversion.With this, I will have to do something about my wiring.The original wiring in my mast was just run right up the center. This led to sleepless nights of hearing the wiring slap against the insides of the mast. I corrected this very successfully by running the wiring through PVC surrounded by pipe insulation.But now that I want to run the halyards internally, I would like to attach a piece of PVC to the inside of the mast so that it will not interfere with the halyards.Any suggestions???Michael Gordonmichael@chocolatetruffles.com

Conduit

You can add a conduit inside the mast by running appropriate pvc pipe inside. Then drill holes through the mast and conduit. Use a coat hanger to hold the conduit through the hole against the inside of the mast. Then drill another hole about a foot up the mast. Grab the conduit through that hole and rivet the conduit through the first hole. Repeat all the way up.Justi - O'day Owners' Web
