o'day 25 in heavy weather?

Hey O'day 25 owners, I have a question for you. I'm considering buying one with a fixed keel. My question is how does this boat perform in winds in excess of 20 kts., and is that skinny mast strong enough to endure a beating?Thanks for any and all replies.Mike

Trustworthy

Its a sturdy boat. With the rigging tuned, reefed main and a storm jib It should hold up nicely. These boats have been sailed everywhere.

I agree, you should have no problem. I've had mine out in 30+ knot winds with no problem at all. Check the standing rigging, and if there's any doubt, replace it. It would be a worthwhile investment.

I really think the deep draft is a good trade for stability. I love mine. If you get it, let us know how you like it.
