How and What is the best way to clean the inside walls carpet liner on an Oday 25(1983) or What is used as a replacement?My foam backing seems to be deteriated,can this be glued back to the walls? thank you, Mike O'
Hi Mike, Have a 27' 1978 and liner was falling apart. Used Berber carpet and a water based adhesive to bond it to the hull. Looks great. I pull the old off - and found a stiff bristle brush removes the foam backing and adhesive. I covered seats and floor with plastic. Took about 4 hours to pull off the fabric and sand scrape one small section before I tried the stiff brush. Did the rest in 0.5 hours. Took about 4 hours to install the new carpet and wasted an hour making a form to hold the carpet in place. Found the next day that I could push the carpet in contact with the hull any place there was an air space. I had replaced cusions the year before and now interior is PRIMO. Good Luck
