When I bought our 25 in the fall of 2012 the CB was stuck up. In the spring I had the yard drop the board and I sanded off paint and took a bit of gel coat off to thin it a bit. When the yard reinstalled the board it was free moving in the trunk.
The board moved up and down fine all summer.
Then a couple of weeks before a sailing vacation in Oct it stuck in the up position again. The yard did a short haul and unstuck the board as the Admiral would not sail in a broken boat.
What they found was that the pendant had worn a groove in the opening where it exited the pendant tube into the CB trunk. When I had pulled up the board the thicker part just below the eye splice had stuck in the groove.
For the vacation I just left the board down 6" or so.
Has anyone run into this issue and any ideas how to fix it?
