My boat has no bilge pump. The PO used a thirsty mate and a bucket to empty the boat. I've been using the same system, but I think I need something better. What do other O'Day 25 owners have? Is an electric pump the best, or manual? Automatic?

Manual and a battery powered pump
I have a manual - a guzzler 400 - and a battery powered 300 gph - with a float switch - My issues is to where to best postion the battery powered pump - I have it in the cockpit locker - (what I call "the hold") but have not permanently attached- with the hose running out the outboard engine battery line through hull - I would like some help on where best to place this pump - Any suggestions?
