Hello, the depth and speed units which came with my 84 O'Day 23 no longer work and have developed slight leaks. I plan on glassing them over when the weather warms up a bit. I have not done this type of repair before but have done some research on the glassing techniques and it seems workable if done correctly. My questions to the forum are: has anyone completed this repair on their boat and if so, is there anything specific to the O'Day brand I need to be aware of or any specific trouble you ran into? On paper this process is fairly straightforward but it is a bit nerve-wracking opening the 2 holes in the hull in order to patch them up. Thanks in advance for any advice.
