O'Day 222

I will be purchasing a 1984 222 on Monday. Does anyone have an owner's manual? My only previous sailing experience has been on a Sunfish. The boat has not been sailed in about 4-5 years. The hull and deck seem to be in good shape. It seems to need some cleaning inside and out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,David

Beware D&R manual

Dave, Congrats on the '84 222! My friend and I just puchased the same boat in April. We're Very happy with it. However, we did order the manual from D&R and have had little use for it. It's the manual for the '86 222, and there were many changes in those two years. It's just a Zerox copy of the origonal and the pictures are almost completely undecipherable. Some of the maintenance info is useful though. Rudy at D&R has said ther are '84 inserts, but we have yet to see them. It's a great boat, keep us posted on your progress.
