O'day 22 Water Tank Question

Hi everyone. The previous owner of my O'day 22 had removed the water tank. Does anyone know what the tube on tip is for? It's about 5 inches long. I assume the bottom fitting is where the hose for the sink attaches. See attached photo.

Loks like it could be the vent tube. It should be vented so it does not get air a vacuum when pumping the water out.

I agree with depack...Assuming the large black plug is for filling, then that tube has to be the vent.
