Oday 22. Should I keep the extra halyard if so why?

Long story short. In May I lost my mast in a storm on the Chesapeake bay. I ordered a new one from DR and Rudy fixed me up very nicely. My rig uses a bail just below the truck to attach a sheave with a becket to attach the roller reefing jib which has a wire sewn into the luff. That pretty much means I don't need the jib halyard he sent it with. I use the jib halyard to pull the mast up and just attach the forestay and leave it there of course. Can you think of any good uses for the extra halyard? I thought of turning it around facing aft and use it as a topping lift but my backstay has a bridle on it for clipping on the end of the boom. I could just leave it there but cleat space is at a premium on the mast. Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks.

How about for an asymmetric?
Flying a burgee, a courtesy flag or signal flags?
hoisting a GoPro?
Hanging pirates?
Just some ideas.

Good morning. Well I decided to keep the extra halyard. I did add a third cleat to the mast to have a place to land it. Cleat space on this rig has always been at a premium so the extra cleat is going to help. Even though there is a short bridle on the backstay to support the boom with the main down, I think it would be nice to be able to use this extra halyard as a topping lift. I like to bottom fish in the bay and if I get the boom up and out of my way I can use a tarp for a poor mans bimini for shade. Thanks very much for the input.
