Oday 22 Electrical Wiring Diagram

I have a 1976 Oday 22 and I would like to rewire the boat. Unfortunately I have no Idea where to start, the boat was a basket case and most of the electrical system was in a box when I got it.

In lieu of a wiring diagram:
Where should the battery go?
What systems run on the battery?
How is recharging handled?

The fuse box seems to check out fine, any advice you may be able to give will be greatly appreciated.

Doug, there is a manual for the O'Day 22 and 23 and, while not exactly brilliant, it does have some useful info on rigging the boat and the way some of the lines go.

The manual is on this web site but the images are not so good. I have an electronic copy - its about 6 Meg - so if you send me your e-mail I will forward to you.

Also I'd suggest that you check out the Catalina 22 web site - they have a very detailed manual there which has some good check lists etc. Yes it's a different boat but there is some useful info ther and the boats are not that different.
